When I got the news that google has a website traffic analysis service Google Analytics, it’s too late for me to get the free service work on my blog. Because it has experienced extremely strong demand since google released this product and the sign-up has been closed alrealy. It’s so bad and I had to search for other tools to observe the traffic statistic of my Blog. Until now I have used 3 products: extremetracking, AXS and now Performancing Metrics.Although each of the 3 has both its and advantages and disadvantages, I prefer the last one, Performancing Metrics.
It is general considered that Google is the largest and most significant search engine nowadays. Getting indexed by Google may give your site lots of traffic and page views especially your site locates at the first page of results returned from hot keywords search. About one week ago, the time I made this blog public, I submitted my blog to Google telling Google I had made a site about myself. I believe if Google accept my site, other search engine will follow its smart decision.

When I login in to movable type system today, I find a new feature for my blog is released. It is a new Google Toolbar button Movable Type template which came from Niall Kennedy's blog.
Since I installed the Movable Type on my laptop which runs Windows xp, I have suffered a lot from the windows file system permission settings. Here is some typical errors if you do not set the proper permission of your files in the "Intepub\wwwroot\" directory.
I just find a website host service called dreamhost by accident when surfing on the internet. I am not using their service at present, but I think I will plan to transfer my site to dreamhost. MovableType is a very popular blog platform and having seen lots of publishing system, finally I choose this one.
It tooks me about 3 hours to install the Movable Type in my Windows xp machine while it just took me much fewer time in Linux. I'd like to record the steps for other's reference. It is also a good resource for myself if I need to rebuild the server.
