Chinese Spring Festival Coming Soon

Chinese New Year, also called Chinese Spring Festival (春节) used to be the happiest season for me just like the Christmas season for western people. People gather together with their friends and family and I can reunion with my nephew and playmates and we can play together and get the “Red packets” from my parents and grandparents and don’t have to get up early and go to school. It used to be such a good holiday that I was so excited to look forward to when it approaches while this sort of feeling fades and I could not find much happy as used to be. Perhaps it is a festival for kids as my mother told me.

Apply A Credit Card in Japan

Japan is a country where somehow national discrimination happens every now and then. Let's say that foreigners applying credit card in Japan would be a good example. Most of the credit card companies reject your application basically because of you are foreigner here regardless of your job, income, profile or whatsoever.

The O.C.

I get addicted to the American drama television series the O.C.(The orange city) these days. Iit was past-popularity show(start from 2003) though. I just run into it from a HMV shop in which the DVD version of season 1 is selling off. I need to admit. I'm always slow for the new things, at least, for the past years. When something new stuffs come out and draw the majority crazy, I usually skip it over. while the time when most people get tied of it, I'm incline to be fond of it. That's a big problem of me...

A fragment of old memory

I'm thinking of this for a long time and finally decided to share this video which is made by me. Whilst I review this video, I always feel that it just like all these things are happened yesterday. I have not seen the most of the people in this video for a quite a long time and I know I may never meet some of them again in my life. So I just share this video, and hopefully they could see it as a good recipe of bad mood. I hope you may also lift the corner of your mouth while you’re watching this video, my dear friends.

Where am I now and where am I gonna go

Having been in Shanghai about 2 months now, many things happened during this return period to Shanghai… (Omit thousands of words here) And I also find out myself has changed a lot, which I began to thinking whether Shanghai is the city right for me. Shanghai is definitely very different from Tokyo. When referring the feeling of home, Shanghai is also like a stranger as Tokyo. The obvious difference between the two cities is that one speaks Japanese and the other speaks Chinese. Besides, the more important point I think is that most of stuffs in Shanghai that can rarely found in other cities in China is only for the rich people or foreigners here. Like many shopping malls, bars and apartments whose price is far from the average of income of Shanghai residence.

I'm too Young

It's really sorry to say that I'm too young again. Many girls I met in Tokyo have asked about my age and I'm too honest to say I'm only 23 years old. Then they seem very surprised and would like to say “little brother” to me. To be honest, I don’t like the appellation. Not as like before, I would like to be older and more mature. But, I am still the youngest one of the first batch of the Shanghai IT office. With many talents and senior people around me. Still long way to go!

Miscellanea of the Fortnight

It’s really a long time since my last entry. I deserved myself a fortnight vacation to fill the vacuity before my new job. During this period, my brain is like a chaos of accessories in a machine which is running abnormally. There are tons of things waiting for my disposal. I’m involved in applying for my passport and visa, trip to Hangzhou and Ningbo and many trivial things caused by the job transfer. Although I made the plan, the result is few things in the to-do-list are accomplished. I was supposed to travel to Beijing but my mum was in hospital suddenly. I have to cancel the plan and take care of her. Thanks to God and she has left hospital now. The only strongest wish in my heart is she won’t relapse again. God bless me and my family!

I'm leaving ASUS

Today is my last day in ASUS the comany I have been working for almost one year. At the very beginning, I was thinking about writing plenty of the feelings of these days here. But when I hold the demission application, I can hardly say anything. It's a very odd feelings I have never felt before since it is the first time I resign from a company. Whether or not, I have to say some words to my colleagues.

A Special Day

I suddenly find that the pronunciation discrimination between British English and American English is so distinct that I can hardly understand the English spoken by a guy from Europe when having dinner with him today. Maybe I have listened to too much American English or Chinese English. To avoid today’s embarrassed situation, I think I should choose some British English material to listen from now on. Also I find that there is lots of things to learn. Anyway, I am too naive now.

Happy Birthday to Myself

Remeber when I was still a child, Mom and Dad celebrated my birthday.
Remeber when I went to school, friends give me wishes and gifts on the special day.
Now I am in the office, Neither special program, nor candle and cakes.

I am 23 years old now, too young to some and over-the-hill to the others. To myself, I am not exactly where I supposed to be.
I am proud of myself for the goals I have achieved.
I am proud of myself for the courage of love even when I am afraid.
I am proud of myself for the passion I bring to life.
Life is not easy, but I am still searching the way to live my life with more grace and love.

Thanks to my mom who gives the life to me, and
Happy Birthday to you, Zhu Xinquan.

My First Digital Camera

I'm thinking of getting a digital camera for a long time but I don't get one until yesterday. The problem is that which digital camera I should buy. There are innumerable cameras in the market currently. I must admit that I haven't a clue to choose one! Finally, after long time search, I made up my mind. Canno A610 is very fortunate to be my first digital camera. I have searched much info about this camera on Internet for a couple of weeks, so it only took me about 15 minutes to buy the camera in Xujiahui. Because of the last experience of buying digital goods in Xujiahui, the goods there are a bit expensive. I was planned to buy it on Internet. But it seems that the digital camera is an exception and I cancelled the original plan.

I should learn Sociology

From the childhood, I was told to study science rather liberal arts. Because the adult believe that graduating by a science degree will have a good job than arts. I don't know the truth at that time, so finally I complied my parents' opinion and chose scinece in high school and Computer Science in the college. But the following test told me I should learn Sociology. Was I wrong? maybe. But having made the decision already, I will continue pursuing my dreams in C.S.

Wandering Again with My Friends

Due to the long distance between Gongqing Forest Park and the place where I live, the original barbecue plan in this weekend was canceled. But I am feeling a little regretted now about the decision I have made. Fortunately, Yixuan didn’t change his mind and came to shanghai again. He brought us a heavy downpour and took a QUANJUDE roast duck back to Hangzhou.

Where is the Legal System

If my memory does not cheat me, I think it's the first time I met the violence case in a restaurant since I graduated from high school. It was someone's birthday yesterday. Sorry for the 'someone', because I cannot recall her chinese name! I merely know she is sk's friend and her blog. I guess her English name is Jessie. I am sorry if I make a mistake. We choose chafing dish for supper in the evening around the place where I am living. Then something unhappy happened in the restaurant. One of sk's friends realized that someone at the desk beside us was peeking Jessie. Maybe it's not a big thing and we continue our dinner.

Miscellanea of The Weekend

It's a wonderful weekend. I just arranged with Hurrican and his gf to play badminton together at first. I got up very late (sometimes I am very lazy especially at weekend) and when I got Xujiahui, it was almost 11:00 am. The first thing I should do is to buy a badminton racket. But After searching for a cheap rackets around Xujiahui together with my brother, I can't find a little cheap one. Most of the badminton rackets in Xujiahui is above 300rmb and some up to 1000rmb. Finally, I had to give up and said goodbye to Hurrican.

A long-overdue Wish

Since I come to shanghai for nearly 1 year, my mobile phone becomes useless. A daily use of it and also the most significant usage of my mobile phone is the alarm clock. It sounds ludicrous or unbelievable! But it’s true. Most of my friends are in Ningbo or Hangzhou now. And the fee of call will not be a small one if they give a call to me. Or maybe some of them have lost my phone number for some reasons.

First home in Shanghai

I am living in a rented house at Shenbei Road in Minhang District. It is a small road which locates in the south part of Shanghai and the house is very far away from the centre of the city. It takes about 45 minutes for me to get to the People Square by subway. Fortunately, the Line 5 subway is not far away from my house. So why did I rent such a remote house? Obviously, It is pretty far away from People Square but very close to my company. I just go to my office on foot everyday. I believe it is a good daily exercise for me.

Please Remember to Forget

Something wanna to say, but do not know where to start. It was harrowing that to see you again becomes impossible.
Four years have past. There are impulsions, fluctuations, excitations, also broken-hearted in the 4 years. In this time, all those things should be forgotten. Now I believe it is doomed. I think it would be better to don't contact with you again.
