Today, I have been told that ThinkPad X serious has been updated to X60. It may be very old news for you, but really new to me. Since I bought my first Laptop IBM ThinkPad X22 about four years ago, I rarely cared about the market of notebook computer. And In the past tree years, the market has grown so fast in China that many of my friends have their own laptop now.
Since I became an employee of ASUS which is a large laptop manufacturer today, I have been requested to give some advice of choosing a notebook computer many times. Here I would like to say some words. First, let me tell you the detail of my own laptop: with 800-MHz Mobile PIII-M processor, 384MB RAM, 60GB hard drive. (The original specification is 128MB RAM and 20GB hard drive). Although it cost $3,100 once, it is extremely outdated nowadays. But the lovely boy has accompanied with me for about 4 years. I am very satisfied with its performance. I use it to surfer the Internet, read emails and write Blog everyday. Even, you might not believe, I use it playing the 3D game WarCraft III. So my principal is choosing the one is really enough for you.
Another thing you should know is that unlike buying a normal computer, a very important consideration of buying a laptop is the after service. Because a laptop is not easy to mend, you’d better choose a company which provides good after service such as HP, IBM (Lenovo now). So where to buy? In shanghai, Xujiahui may be a choice. But if you do not have lots of budge, it may be a bad choice. As I know, the price is a little high there. There are now many brand laptop nowdays such as Lenovo, HP, ASUS, DELL etc. However, Personally I love IBM ThinkPad best. It attracts me not only by its stability but also its generous design. Let me show you my "small black".
